The legend of Bigfoot still remains a mystery.

A North Carolina man stopped dead in his tracks when he spotted a creature resembling the legendary Sasquatch while vacationing in Hendersonville Thursday morning.

Eric Walters captured the tumultuous event on his phone and submitted the blurry video to The Citizen-Times. He asked viewers to remain open-minded while watching.

In the video, Walters is quietly walking his dog, Zippy, beside a lush green forest. Suddenly, the petrified man panics when he spies a massive dark beast creeping in the bushes several feet away near a dirt path.

He frantically whispers to himself, “Oh my God! Oh my God!” His tiny terrier takes off toward the alleged Bigfoot barking wildly. Walter yells, “No Zippy! No!” and chases after Zippy before the pup gets too close.

The spooked Sasquatch runs away in a peculiar gallop into the tall grasses of a nearby field.

“Either there’s a Sasquatch out there or someone is trying to play a practical joke,” Walters told the paper.

Walters is staying in a cabin with his wife and another couple on Buck Forest Road.
