Through a coalition designed to deceive the public, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is currently pushing for gun confiscations across America which will cause violent crimes against disarmed Americans to explode.

Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg routinely uses mass media to propagate his agenda.

Bloomberg’s ultimate goal for nationwide gun bans was recently revealed by Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Mayor John Tkazyik, who left Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns coalition after realizing it was simply a front to destroy gun rights.

Founded in 2006 by Bloomberg and former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, Mayors Against Illegal Guns recruits U.S. mayors into its gun control agenda under the guise of “making communities safer” through gun control laws.

Yet as we’ve seen time and time again, gun control only encourages criminals who wantonly ignore laws to commit violence against defenseless Americans.

In Jan. 2013, over 42 people were murdered in Chicago, Ill., which has the strictest gun control laws in the country.

Chicago police seized over 7,400 guns used in crimes in 2012 alone even though only around 7,600 Chicago residents have firearm permits, clear proof that violent criminals do not obey gun laws.

Chicago’s politicians have practically granted criminals a subsidy by disarming the population, which makes it easier for criminals to beat, rape and kill residents. Bloomberg wants every city in America to be just like Chicago and he’s misleading the public into believing that gun control will make them safer.

Additionally, prisons will be filled with peaceful Americans who violated the victimless crimes that are gun control laws.

For example, a New Jersey judge sentenced former police officer Dustin S. Reininger to five years in prison after he was arrested in 2009 for carrying firearms in the back of his vehicle during his move from Maine to Texas.

Even though federal law provides safe passage for a driver transporting firearms through a restrictive jurisdiction such as New Jersey, the jury never heard about the law during Reininger’s trial. An appeals court also claimed that the law didn’t apply in his case because the SUV he was driving did not have a trunk.

This is what Bloomberg wants in America: citizens such as Reininger to be victimized by both the system and by criminals.

Others have also been victimized throughout history as governments around the world passed gun control laws to disarm and later oppress their populations.

In 1929, the Soviet Union enacted gun control and over the next 25 years, around 20 million disarmed dissidents were rounded up and killed. Germany also established gun control in 1938 and by 1945, at least 13 million defenseless people were murdered.

The Nazis also inherited gun registration lists from the Weimar Republic which allowed them to quickly disarm their political opposition and cement their control over Germany.

New York City began using the same tactic over 75 years later to send out notices to registered gun owners demanding that they turn in their firearms.

Because the gun registry was already in place prior to New York’s latest gun control law, all the New York Police Dept. had to do was compile a list of newly-banned firearms and identify which residents owned them.

Bloomberg wants similar gun confiscations to happen across America and he will use lies and deception to achieve his goal.

As reported, Poughkeepsie Mayor John Tkazyik published a statement in last week’s Poughkeepsie Journal coming clean about the group’s true intentions, total disarmament of law-abiding gun owners.

“Under the guise of helping mayors facing a crime and drug epidemic, MAIG intended to promote confiscation of guns from law-abiding citizens,” Tkazyik said, confirming what many already suspected about the group.

“Nearly 50 pro-Second Amendment mayors have left the organization. They left for the same reason I did,” he also added.

The fact that 50 mayors bailed in response to a concerted effort to undermine the Bill of Rights is certainly headline-worthy, but so far, unsurprisingly, few other media outlets have picked the story up.

And Tkazyik isn’t the first to cast these allegations. In 2007, the mayor of Williamsport, Pa., also said she left after witnessing “dubious” attempts to subvert the Second Amendment. “I have learned that the coalition may be working on issues which conflict with legal gun ownership, and that some actions on your behalf are dubious,” then-Williamsport Mayor Mary Wolf wrote in a letter to Bloomberg himself.

And just last year, during a Mothers Demand Action rally (a gun control coalition which merged with MAIG in December 2013), Austin, Texas City Councilman Mike Martinez singled out a protestor carrying a “Stop the Gun Ban” sign and told him, “…there is no gun ban currently, but because of the work we’re doing here today, we will make your sign legitimate shortly, so you hang on to that.”

News of the group’s traitorous crusade comes at a time when American gun owners are already wary of continual attempts to curtail firearm ownership. Since the Sandy Hook school shooting, the Obama administration has proposed legislation aimed at combating “gun violence,” including proposals that would require background checks for all gun sales; in effect, registration.

American gun owners who know the history behind gun control are fearful that a federal gun registry will eventually lead to confiscation. Indeed, numerous articles have been published showing how, since 2007, roving law enforcement teams have been disarming Californians deemed “illegal” using a list of owners.

However, in the face of blatant evidence, the director of MAIG, Mark Glaze, has boldly gone on to publicly deny that “nobody in California has come to take anyone’s guns.”

The fact that groups like MAIG are to the point of openly bragging about their intentions doesn’t bode well for gun owners. It signifies the establishment is preparing to take grand strides to convince the American public of the “dangers” posed by guns. That means more contrived scenes of violence with guns at their center.

The fact that Obama has repeatedly asserted his willingness to work around Congress to make things happen is also worrying. In his 2014 State of the Union speech he also mentioned that his administration would continue to address “gun violence,” and that he intends to “keep trying, with or without Congress, to help stop more tragedies from visiting innocent Americans in our movie theaters and our shopping malls, or schools like Sandy Hook.”

It should now be abundantly clear that any reassurances, given by known liars such as Obama or any of his anti-Second Amendment teams, are merely to placate gun owners into a state of pacification and complacency. However, the jig is now up and the curtain has been lifted.

Overall, 50 mayors bailing on the group over its future plans shows a definite sea change in the way public servants are regarding citizens’ rights and the Second Amendment. However, it is simply incredible that more mayors, knowing the treasonous goals of the organization, have not abandoned ship.

Last January, Infowars reported on a “safety” exercise involving police, national guard and emergency management officials in Portsmouth, Ohio. The premise of that exercise was that individuals “disgruntled over the government’s interpretation of the Second Amendment” plotted to use weapons of mass destruction to terrorize the local community.

On Monday the investigative non-profit Media Trackers posted documents released by the Ohio National Guard’s 52nd Civil Support Team a full year after the exercise. The documents reveal a deliberate effort to portray Second Amendment supporters as racist right-wing terrorists who use chemical weapons on school children.

“On the chalkboard as well as the tables there were several statements about protecting Gun Rights and Second Amendment rights,” a scenario document received by Media Trackers dated January 17, 2013 states. According to the fictional account used in the exercise, the leader of the Second Amendment group was a white nationalist going by the name William Pierce.

“No apology to Ohioans who supported limited government and the Second Amendment appears to be forthcoming,” writes Jesse Hathaway for Media Trackers. “Scioto County Emergency Management Agency director Kim Carver refused to comment, telling Media Trackers she was ‘not going to get into an Ohio Army National Guard issue that you have with them.’”

Ohio National Guard Communications Director James Sims II said Media Trackers had inferred the scenario demonized gun owners and Second Amendment activists.

The Department of Homeland Security’s “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” document leaked to Infowars in 2009 contributed to the current political environment where gun owners are increasingly demonized and portrayed as mentally ill right-wing terrorists.

The Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) also produced a document in 2009 warning about the danger of a purported “Modern Militia Movement,” including the likes of Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin. MIAC and fusion centers around the country coordinated with the DHS to “collect, evaluate, analyze, and disseminate information and intelligence” on the supposed threat posed by libertarians and constitutionalists, including Second Amendment advocates. Between 2004 and 2007, the DHS provided $254 million to fusion centers engaged in surveilling Americans considered a terrorist threat by the government.

In 2013, the DHS released a report, “Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970 to 2008,” that employed the phrase “extreme right-wing, ethno-nationalist/separatist” to describe individuals and groups it claimed represented a domestic terrorist threat. The report takes its definitions from a 2011 study entitled Profiles of Perpetrators of Terrorism, produced by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.

On May 1, 2013, Infowars posted a video portraying a mock news report produced by the Department of Homeland Security depicting American gun owners as terrorists.

The documents obtained by Media Trackers provide more evidence that the government and its counterterrorism infrastructure consider American gun owners at the top of the list of domestic terror threats.
